What is New Bentley OpenSite Designer
The following summarizes the new features and enhancements in the 2024 update 1 release of OpenSite Designer, OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, and OpenRail Overhead Line Designer products, also referred to as OpenX Designer products. Features that are only available in specific products are indicated below.

Important Workspace Update Required
The ViewSet.mvba macro must be updated to run properly in the OpenRoads, OpenSite, and OpenRail 2024 release. Without the update, the right-click > View Control options will cause an exception.
If the ViewSet.mvba in your workspace has not been customized, then simply replace the ViewSet.mvba file with one delivered with OpenRoads, OpenSite, OpenRail 2024 (C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer 2024.00\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Imperial\Macros\ViewSet.mvba).
If the ViewSet.mvba in your workspace has been customized, then follow the steps described in the Video: Exception occurs using the right-click View Control menu to update the macro.
Geometry Enhancements
- Added ability to modify unacceptable slew values in the Regression Points table.
Drainage and Utilities Enhancements

Improved performance when computing an analysis scenario. A full update of the model will still be done for the first compute of an analysis scenario in a session, but subsequent computes of that scenario will only update the hydraulic results.
