To Deactivate a Reference and Release Its Lock

Do one of the following:
  • In the References dialog's list box, select the list entry for the reference. In the list entry's Activate Status column, double-click the black dot.
  • Select the Element Selection tool. Right-click the element that is a reference and select Release lock on <reference name>.
