Once a corridor is created, we can assign template drop to it. Template drops define what the cross sections of the roadway look like for that portion of the road based on user-defined station range. A dgn may be comprised of a single template drop or multiple template drops. Often, transitions are used between two template drops, rather than an abrupt change from one template to another.

A template represents cross section along the corridor. Templates are made up of components and are stored in template library. The components are edge of pavement, shoulder, sidewalk, curb and gutter etc.
