You can access this dialog from the following:

Ribbon: Geometry > Regression

Regression line creation also creates an empty complex geometry. This Regression Complex Geometry acts as a container to add new geometry elements.

• Regression Complex Geometry.
  • Related to regression points, any changes in this geometry update the slew values.
  • Regression tools automatically add created elements to complex.
• Regression Complex geometry has the same structure as a regular geometry complex and can be manipulated and used as such. The main difference is its connection to regression lines/points.

Geometry Elements

When geometry elements are created using regression tools, they are automatically added to Regression Complex Geometry and use the same geometry rules as basic civil geometry elements i.e. arc, and line. They do not have special regression rules, but are related to the regression line through the Regression Complex Geometry.

Can be modified as normal geometry using manipulators.

Can be modified using the nudge tool.

Any modification to horizontal elements automatically updates the slews.

When horizontal geometry elements are modified, vertical regression points are updated to include new points covered by the horizontal geometry (Only in OpenRail Designer).
