Report Crossing Features

Used to locate intersecting line features, such as break lines or contours.

You can access this tool from the following:

  • Ribbon: Terrain > Analysis > Reporting split button

This tool locates intersecting line features, such as break lines or contours. At the intersection, the elevations of the two elements is computed and compared. If the elevation difference at the intersection of the two elements is less than the specified tolerance, they are not listed in the report.

Description

Apply Level Tolerance

If selected, uses the specified tolerance to filter data. If not selected, all crossing features are listed, even those that have identical elevations at the intersection.

Level Tolerance

Specifies the Level Tolerance, which acts as a filter for the report. If the intersection of the two crossing features has an elevation difference less than the Level Tolerance, they are not included in the report.

The user can zoom to the intersection location by highlighting the line, and clicking the icon at the top of the report dialog. The In View icon centers about the selected intersection. The Export icon opens the Civil Report Browser with the Terrain Crossing Features Report, which can be printed.

Workflow

  1. Start the command.
  2. Select the terrain model.
  3. A report of any found crossing linear features displays.
