Synchronize View

There are two options to synchronize views as explained below.

Keep the Plan and Profile models synchronized with the Multi Profile Model when panning and zooming in the Multi Profile Model.
Update a dynamic Cross Section view to show the cross section based on the user's cursor location in the Multi Profile Model.

Synchronize Plan and Vertical Models

The synchronization is driven from the Multi Profile Model, zooming and/or panning in the Multi Profile Model will update all other open views. Updating the other views will be carried out when the zooming or panning is done in the Multi Profile Model (for example, if panning the Multi Profile Model, other views will not be updated until the mouse button is released).

Note: A vertical model of a non-primary geometry in the Multi Profile Model will be synchronized as well, but the precision is less compared to the vertical model of the Primary.

Workflow

Arrange Views to contain Multi Profile Model, Plan- and/or Vertical model
Start the Track and Analysis command
Click the push button View Sync, on the Tracking and Analysis dialog box.
Pan and Zoom in the Multi Profile Model and other views will update.

Synchronize Cross Section Views

A Cross Section view can be synchronized with the user's cursor position in the Multi Profile Model. For example, if the cursor location (in the Multi Profile Model) is at station 100, the closest Cross Section will be displayed in the cross-section view.

Note: The cross-sections can only be synchronized with the Primary vertical geometry in the Multi Profile Model (the non-primary geometries will not be able to update a cross-section view).

Workflow

Arrange Views to contain Cross Sections and the Multi Profile Model
Start the Track and Analysis command
Click the push button Sync Cross Section, on the Tracking and Analysis dialog box.
In the Multi Profile Model, move the cursor along the Primary vertical and the Cross Section view will update.
