Tracking and Analysis
The Track and Analysis
tool will provide information about geometries (horizontal and vertical), which
are added to the Multiple Profile Setting model.
Key-in: Geometry Multipleprofile Report
Ribbon: OpenRoads Modeling > Geometry > Vertical > Tracking and Analysis
Alternatively, click the view-icon in the view displaying the Multiple Profiles model.
User Interface of the Track and Analysis tool contains a Primary vertical selector in the top left corner, followed by Add Profiles and the Settings tool. View Synch, Synch Cross Section, View Filter and Intervals will be explained in more details further below.
The track and analysis tool will provide various information for each of the geometries and measure values by comparing the primary geometry with the other geometries. For example, the vertical offset (Offset (V)) is 0.000 for East H, since that one is the Primary. In other geometries, vertical offset is elevation differences to the Primary, at the specific station.
The measuring point is based on the user's cursor location, from where a normal is constructed to the Primary profile.
The Name column in the dialog box displays the horizontal geometry name and selected vertical geometry name within brackets, for example: Main Track(MainTrack V).
Intervals
The Interval option in the Track and Analysis dialog box will snap to nearest interval (along the Primary profile) to user?s cursor position. The interval value can be defined in the text box next to the Snap Interval option.
Information Columns
User Interface of the Track and Analysis tool contains the following pre-defined information columns. Note that Road/Rail specific information is unique to its application.
Users can select what columns to display in the Track and Analysis dialog box, right-click on any of the column headers, and click Select Columns. The above dialog box will show, check, or uncheck the toggle button next to the column name to display or hide the column.
Command Remove Column will hide the column (same functionality as unchecking the toggle in the Select Columns dialog box).
The order of the columns in the Track and Analysis dialog box can be arranged by dragging a column to the left or right in the dialog box.
View Filter
The View Filter tool allows to setup of threshold values, which consider all geometries.
Workflow
- Click View Filter option,
Condition Editor dialog box will show
- Select an information
column, for example, Vertical Offset
- Key-in a value.
- Select if the condition should be true if Vertical Offset is bigger then (">") the keyed in value.
- Add more conditions as needed.
- Click OK
At the bottom of the Multiple Profile view, there will be "red lines" drawn where this condition is true. There will be one line for each profile, those lines are drawn from bottom of the window and up, in the same order as the profiles are listed (top down) in the Track and Analysis dialog box.
Highlight Criteria
The Highlight Criteria function will use the condition Editor (in the same way as View Filters) to define the conditions. Highlight Criteria will only operate on the select profile. If the condition is true, the value in Track and Analysis dialog box will be colored red for the specific profile.
Workflow
- Right click on a desired profile in the Track and Analysis dialog box and select Highlight Criteria
- Condition Editor dialog
box will show
- Define the condition(s),refer to point 2 in GUID-F3EDEBE7-CB46-4E07-B6BA-C9CE9BE7E888#GUID-F3EDEBE7-CB46-4E07-B6BA-C9CE9BE7E888/SECTION_0D4157775104431C970928E3782BFB16workflow for more information.
- Continue using the Track
and Analysis and the value in the information column (for the selected profile)
will be colored red, if the condition is true.
