Profile Offset Transition
Used to construct profile elements at an offset from a base element. The base element may be a line, arc, spiral, or complex.
You can access this tool from the following:
- Ribbon: Geometry > Vertical > Complex Geometry split button
Profile Offset Transition constructs profile elements at an offset from a base element. The base element may be a line, arc, spiral, or complex.

Select the Profile Offset Transition icon.
Note: If your View isn't in Profile mode, a message will indicate that you need to Open Profile Model.-
The Profile Offset dialog opens.

Checking the box next to any of the fields locks in the associated value.

When you move the cursor into the Profile View, the command prompt requests that you "Locate Element", so move the cursor to the base element then data point, example, left-click on it.

Use one of the following methods to set the Offset and/or the Start Distance:

As you move the cursor, a value is displayed on the prompt. Data point at the desired value.

Enter a value and strike the Enter key then data point.

Use one of the following methods to set the Length and/or the End Distance:

As you move the cursor, a value is displayed on the prompt. Data point at the desired value.

Enter a value and strike the Enter key then data point.

The command prompt presents Mirror options; use the down arrow key to navigate them then data point to execute your choice.
