Create Distance Keepers
You can access this dialog from the following:
- Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Rails > Joints
The Create Distance Keepers tool allows you to create distance keepers for a selected start point and end point in a rail track. Distance keepers can be displayed as a list for manipulation or interactively in the plan view. Distance keepers can be annotated and reported.
| Setting | Description |
| Distance From Rail Start Point | How far from the start point the distance keepers should be placed. |
| Distance To Rail End Point | How far from the end point the distance keepers should be placed. |
| Minimum Distance Between Keepers | Minimum distance between each keeper. |
| Maximum Distance Between Keepers | Maximum distance between each keeper. |
| Remainder Placing | How the remainder of the distance keepers should be placed if the previous parameters specified cannot be met. |
