Regression Complex Table

You can access this dialog from the following:
  • Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Regression > Regression Tools
Regression Complex Table displays the components of the regression complex geometry. It consists of two tables. Upper table lists horizontal elements and lower table displays vertical elements.
  • Activate regression mode
  • Can be used add/remove/manipulate geometry elements
  • Report on individual elements
  • See element properties
  • Check integrity of elements

Dialog Options

  • Regression Mode On/Off: Turns on regression mode on or off. When regression mode is active civil geometry elements that are created with regular geometry tools (Horizontal/Vertical Toolbar), are automatically added to the regression complex geometry.

When regression mode is on, slew values are also always displayed on screen. Note that slew values are only visible after certain zoom level.

  • Add to Regression Complex: Adds selected geometry to the regression complex. See Add to Regression Complex for more information.
  • Recalculate Regression: Reruns regression calculation for the selected element.
  • Single Element Nudge: Starts Single Element Nudge tool on the selected element.
  • Single Element Regression Report: Creates regression report for the selected element range.
  • Zoom to Element: Zooms to selected element.
  • Remove Element from Complex: Removes the selected element from the regression complex. Element is dropped from the complex and remains in the model as single geometry.
  • Delete Element: Removes the selected element from the regression complex and also deletes it from the model.
  • Refresh Element List: Refreshes listed elements.

Column Options

  • Plan/Profile Geometry: Element Type.
  • Length: Length of the element.
  • Radius: Radius of the arc elements.
  • Maximum Slew: Maximum slew value in the element range.
  • Standard Error: Standard Error (SE) of the regression calculation.
  • Start/End Point: First/Last regression point in the element range.
  • Start/End Station: Start/End station of the element.
  • Start/End Direction: Start/End direction of the element.
  • End Integrity: Integrity status of the element. Checks connection and tangentiality of the element.
