Horizontal Regression Point Table

You can access this dialog from the following:
  • Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Regression > Regression Tools split-button

Point table provides tabular display of regression points.

  • Point properties can be modified:
    • Name, Weight, Status, Offset?
  • Displays information on:
    • Slew, Lift, Cant, Existing Cant?
  • Can be used to check slew values:
  • Can be used to start regression from selected points

Dialog Options

Edit Point Information: Edit single or multiple point information. To edit multiple point information, select points from the dialog then start the command.

Single Regression from Points: Starts regression analysis with the selected points.

Zoom to Area: Zooms to selected points.

Point Highlighting

Show Delta: Value used for slew delta checks. Slew delta is the absolute distance between two consecutive slew values.

Ex: Slew Delta is set to 60mm

Show/Hide Highlight for Slew Delta: Highlights points based on slew delta.

Show/Hide Highlight for Unacceptable Slew: Highlights points based on horizontal slew. Values are compared against the Unacceptable Left/Right slew values for that point.

Show/Hide Highlight for Unacceptable Lift/Lower: Highlights points based on vertical Lift/Lower. Values are compared against the Maximum Lift/Lower values for that point.

Column Options

Columns displays the same information as the regression point properties, with an extra column for geometry type. For details about regression point properties see Regression Point Properties.

  • Geometry/ Geometry Type: Geometry element that is present on the selected point location. Type of that geometry; line, arc, spiral. When there is an arc, radius is also displayed.
