Regression Line from Line

You can access this dialog from the following:

Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Rail > Regression > Create Regression Line split-button.

Creates regression line from a 3D linestring. Vertical information from the 3D linestring will be stored on the newly created regression points.

Points Feature Definition: Used for creating regression points.

Complex Feature Definition: Used for created related Regression Complex Geometry.

Feature: Used for creating Regression line.

Note: As the regression points are newly created with this tool, rail information can be in a reference file and does not have to be in the active dgn (model).

Note: This tool does not calculate existing cant values, for this Regression from Rails tool should be used.
