Create Cant

You can access this dialog from the following:

• Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Rail > Cant.

Calculates Cant (Rail Superelevation) based on the horizontal alignment. Cant calculations uses the speed values defined in the Speed Table . If no speed table is defined for the geometry, tool will first run Speed Table command to add one.

Cant can be created either using the standard cant formula or a user defined cant lookup table. See Cant Structure for the standard cant formula used in the cant calculations.
