3D Tools

Contains tools for drawing Civil 3D elements , applying linear and surface templates. Other tools include 3D by Volume (useful for pond design) and 3D By Slope to Target.

Select in the Toolbox	Description
Apply Linear Template	Accesses the Pick Template dialog then inserts the chosen template into the drawing relative to a linear element.
Surface Template	Accesses the Pick Template dialog then inserts the chosen template into the drawing relative to a terrain model. Apply Surface Template- Used to apply a template to a surface. Edit Surface Template- Used to edit the applied template to a surface.
Create Closed Mesh	Allows you to create closed mesh entities representing substrata, unsuitable materials, and variety of Design artifacts.
3D Elements	Create 3D By Slope To Target - Creates a 3D element computed from a linear element to a surface. Create 3D By Volume - Creates a terrain modeling computed by volume from another reference surface. Create 3D By Drape to Surface - Create 3D by Drape to Surface element from a portion of an surface element. Create 3D By Plan Profile - The Create 3D by Plan Profile tool creates a 3D element from a portion of a profile line. Plan By 3D Element - Creates a 2D element from a 3D MicroStation element and utilizes the original 3D element for the active profile.
Create Conic Slope	Creates a Conic slope between selected parameters or elements.
Transverse Tools	Create Transverse Alignment -Creates a alignments between 2 main alignments that run usually parallel. Create Transverse Tunnel - Creates a tunnel between 2 main tunnels that run usually parallel.
