Create 3D By Drape to Surface
The tool allows you to drape 2D & 3D MicroStation and Geometry elements to the surface of a Terrain model or Corridor mesh using different draping options like a triangles, vertices, break-lines, and interval.
You can access this tool from the following:
Ribbon: OpenRoads Modeling > Model Detailing > 3D Tools > Create 3D By Drape to Surface
Note: The 3D element
created is a 3D linear civil element, it has a name, feature and can be
annotated, but it is not ruled.
The table below explains the 3D Drape to Surface dialog.

Draping Option | Allows you to select a draping option. |
Vertical Offset | Allows you to set the vertical offset value to drape the element on the surface. |
Interval | Allows you to set an interval to drape the element on the surface. |
Keep Original Element | Allows you to check the box to keep the original element. |

Feature Definition | Allows you to select the feature definition. |
Name | Allows you to name the new 3D element. |
