Turnouts and Bending
You can access this dialog from the following:
Ribbon: OpenRail Modeling > Rail > Turnouts > Turnouts and Bending.
OpenRail Designer stores turnouts and crossings as Feature Definitions. You can modify, delete or add new feature definitions using the Project Explorer, OpenRail Standards.
If you have existing XML based libraries from Bentley Rail TrackĀ®, that is not included in the program, you can import them using the following key-in.

Turnout bending due to curvature is done using following methods. Bending method to be used is a part of turnout definition.
Swiss (Default method in OpenRail Designer)
Rf Resultant flexed geometry radius.
Rb Original branch radius of the turnout.
German
Rf Resultant flexed geometry radius.
Rb Original branch radius of the turnout.
T Triangle length of the turnout.
