New and Changed in OpenPlant Support Engineering CONNECT Edition Update 8
The following items summarize the new features and enhancements in the current OpenPlant Support Engineering release.

| Isometric Definition | A new field has been added in
the
Properties dialog when placing a
component or assembly which allows you to define a unique Isometric Definition.
This definition will be displayed when an an isometric is
run which includes
OpenPlant Support Engineering
components.
If no Isometric Description is defined, the default component description will be used. |
| Default Catalog Record for Component Placement | A new setting has been added
which will use the first catalog record as the default size when placing a
component or assembly. The setting is available in the Project Dashboard:
Setting this parameter to Yes will query the catalog using the selected pipe or structure size and set the first catalog record which matches this criteria as the default. |
| New Steel Catalog | A new catalog named Structural Steel Solutions has been added which provides structural options which are compliant with the standards and specifications used in India. |

An Additional Content Development manual containing detailed information on existing OpenPlant Support Engineering geometry primitives as well as user scripts to assist the user in building his own components is provided with the OpenPlant Support Engineering install and stored in the following location: %Root Directory%\Program Files\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\OpenPlantSupportEngineering\SDKExamples\OPSE Content Development Manual.pdf |
