New and Changed in OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition Update 8

The following items summarize the new features and enhancements in the current OpenPlant PID release.

Feature Description
Import Tags to PlantSight The Import Tag Instances option has been enhanced to allow you to import tags from an external database file directly to a PlantSight iModel.
Project Wide Reports New functionality has been added when working in a Connected project to run Project Wide reports using the data stored in PlantSight.
Process Line List Report A new Process Line report has been added when working in a PlantSight connected workset which displays synced OpenPlant PID data including To/From data for each line and the Document the line was created in.
Pipeline Creation and Placement The Pipeline workflows have been moved out of the Standard Preferences dialog and back into the Piping ribbon.
Instrument Loop Creation and Placement Instrument Loop Creation workflows have been moved out of the Standard Preferences dialog and into the Instrument ribbon.
To/From Data for Pipe Terminators To/From data for a pipe run has been enhanced to include pipe terminating symbol information in the General Info section of the Properties dialog:
Synchronization Log File

OpenPlant PID now generates a log file (OPPID_Sync.log) to record errors during the synchronization process. The log file is located in the following location:

...\Users\$User$\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\OpenPlantPID\Logs\

The error information, such as Instance ID or GUIDs in this log file can be used in conjunction with the Component Selection dialog to identify the components which have caused errors during the sync process.
