The Printing Interfaces
To make your printing experience effective and efficient, the product provides the following printing interfaces:
The Print dialog ( is used to print the active design file and its references, and provides the necessary tools for producing printed output at any stage during a project. )
Using the Print dialog, you can:
- Print to paper or to a file on disk, such as PDF, TIFF, CALS, or JPEG.
- Select a printer driver and edit its configuration file.
- Use a pen table or design script to resymbolize the print.
- Specify monochrome, grayscale, or true color output.
- Create print definition files.
- Submit prints to ProjectWise InterPlot Server.
Print Organizer (
) is used for printing and reprinting sets of DGN, DWG, raster, or PDF files by means of print sets.Using Print Organizer, you can:
- Print, preview, or publish multi-sheet print sets
- Drag DGN, DWG, raster, or PDF files from Windows Explorer into Print Organizer
- Drag design models from the Models dialog into Print Organizer
- Create hierarchical organized print sets
- Edit the properties of individual or groups of print definitions
- Define and reuse named collections of print definition properties
- Create PDF output with hierarchical bookmarks
- Use pen tables and/or design scripts to resymbolize a print
- Submit prints to ProjectWise InterPlot Server
