Used to specify JPEG quality. The JPEG quality setting can be set to any of the following five values:
- Lossless Compression
- Minimal Compression
- Low Compression
- Medium Compression
- High Compression
Lossless compression results in high quality but larger output files, while high compression results in smaller output files but lower quality. The high compression quality degradation is easiest to see near high contrast linework graphics (DGN files) and less visible in photographic imagery.
Note: In V8i and earlier, the JPEG quality setting used a numeric range between 40 and 90. These numeric values are now mapped onto one of the five compressions settings listed above.
