The Project DGNLIB
May contain common OpenPlant Modeler resources such as sections and materials that can be shared across the design files in a project.
Typically, a project administrator populates the project dgnlib (located in the active project's workspace folder. For instance, \\WorkSpace\Projects\your project\dataset\dgnlibs) with standard sections and materials. Then, when a new DGN file is created, the sections and materials can be imported from the project dgnlib. This is completed using the Section Manager tool.
OpenPlant Modeler requires section and material definitions to be contained within the active design file. So, it is necessary to first populate a new design file by importing a set of sections, typically from the project dgnlib. It is also possible to simply add new sections directly to the active dgn file without storing them in any project dgnlib.
An alternative workflow is to pre-populate the project design file seed files with the section and material resources. Because projects often contain multiple seed files, it may be easier for an administrator to maintain a single project dgnlib. Using pre-populated seed files eliminates the need to import resources from a dgnlib, but if the resources change through the life of the project, the changed resources must be re-imported into the project dgn's.
