OpenPlant Modeler Help

To Merge an OpenPlant Modeler File into a Master File

The Merg into Master option can be used for an OpenPlant Modeler file when running in Microstation Mode. However, you must first turn off the handlers for all OpenPlant components for the file while still in the standard OpenPlant Modeler mode. The steps below detail how this is done.
Note: It is recommended to make a backup of the file to be merged as once you turn off the handlers the file will no longer be able to be used in OpenPlant Modeler.
  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and open the file which is to be merged.
  2. Enter the following keyin:

    mechaddin WipeData Handler

This keyin will delete the OpenPlant Modeler component handlers.

Note: You can also use the mechaddin WipeData EC keyin which deletes the handlers as well as the EC data.

    The following warning message displays:

  3. Click Yes to delete the handlers.
  4. Close the application and launch OpenPlant Modeler in Microstation Mode.
  5. Open the master drawing or create a new one.
  6. Open the References dialog and attach the OpenPlant Modeler file from above.
  7. Right-click on the referenced file and select Merge into Master from the menu.
  8. Select the view into which to merge the referenced file. An alert box asks you to confirm that the selected references are to be merged into the active model.
  9. Click OK.
