Update Repository

Used to export changes to Structural members back to an ISM (integrated Structural Model) repository. The exported repository file (*.ism.dgn) is available to be opened and reviewed with Structural Synchronizer. Exported changes are compared with the existing Structural definitions to which they are associated before being merged into the ISM repository definitions.

Accessed from:

Ribbon: Structural > ISM > Update Repository

Selecting the tool opens an open dialog (Update Repository) with the file type filter set to *.ism.dgn. Here you can browse for and select the repository file. By default, the Update Repository dialog opens to the same folder as the active dgn.

The updating repository is opened in Structural Synchronizer allowing you to review the changes before the structural model is updated in OpenPlant Modeler .

Tip: Use the key-in argument ism repository to export updates to an ISM repository from the active Structural model with a single key-in. For instance, SMC ISM UPDATEREPOSITORY c:\ism\sample.ism.dgn.
