| Setting | Description |

| Size | If on, lets you set define the size, in master units, of the example object in the material preview window. |
| Show Selected Layer | (Multi-layered material only) If on, displays the
selected layer only.
If off, the composite material is displayed. |
| Display | Sets the object used to display the material in the preview window. Options are: Sphere, Rectangle, Cylinder, or Cube. |
| Mode | Sets the rendering mode for the preview image. Options are: Smooth, Vue or Vue Path Trace. |
| Image Size | Displays the size, in pixels, of the image file used for the map. |
| Image Depth | Displays the color depth of the image file used for the map. |
