New and Changed in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager CONNECT Edition Update 8

The following items summarize the new features and enhancements in the current OpenPlant Isometrics Manager release.

Feature Description
Sync IsoStyle to ProjectWise Support has been added allowing the user to sync the IsoStyle to ProjectWise.
Style Editor You can now launch the Style Editor from the Iso Processor dialog.
IsoStyle Enhancements General enhancements have been made to the IsoStyle dialog for improved optics and reusability
Output Generation Several general improvements have been made for output generation and the ability to handle unique isometric cases.
Design States (Technical Preview) This is a PlantSight specific functionality when you are working in a connected project. A file named designstates.json is used to define:
  • Isosheet styles are associated with design states
  • definition of design states and workflow of states
  • Update design states for each component in Plantsight once the isosheet is generated.

In OpenPlant Modeler, you will need to make sure the OP_DESIGNSTATES_FILE configuration variable points to the designstates.json file for the connected workset.

Refer to the Isometric Processor section for details.

Note: See the section below for details on Technical Preview Features.

About Technology Preview Features

Some features delivered with this edition of OpenPlant Isometrics Manager are specifically identified as "Technology Preview" features.

Technology Preview features are:

  • currently unsupported
  • may not be functionally complete
  • not suitable for use/deployment in production

However, these features are provided to you as a courtesy and the primary goal is for the feature to gain wider exposure with the goal of full support in the future.

You may find these features useful in a non-production environment. You are welcome to provide feedback and functionality suggestions for a Technology Preview feature before it becomes fully supported. Bentley Systems intends to fully support Technology Preview features in a future release, at which time the features will no longer be identified as Technology Preview features.
