The following items summarize the new features and enhancements in the OpenPlant Isometrics Manager CONNECT Edition Update 3 release.

SettingDescription
Tap Ports Offsets OPIM now properly represents tapped blind flanges with offsets.
Things to note:
  • The offset is visualized in the isometric.
  • The offset direction is aligned with one of the main isometric directions.
  • A label is placed that indicates the offset.
Tangential tap on fittings Tap ports on two port inline components such as flanges and reducers are now correctly displayed when the tap port direction is perpendicular to the fitting centerline.
Tangential tap on pipe/fitting with offset Tap ports on pipe or fittings with an offset is now displayed as a label in the isometric:
Pipe overlength weld visibility The following changes have been made as to how pipe overlength welds are displayed.
  • A default weld allowance is set in the style.cfg file for FIELD_FIT (6" or 150mm)
  • Weld allowances are shown in the isometric.
The weld allowance can be supplied in the style.cfg using units.
  • WA_FIELDFIT=4"
  • WA_FIELD-FIT=150mm
When no unit is supplied the value is interpreted as follows:
  • Value<20 - Interpreted as an imperial allowance.
  • Value>20 - Interpreted as metric allowance.

If conversion is required, 25mm/inch is used (6" = 150mm) etc.

Spool Settings added to the Automatic Iso Splitting Configuration Options to determine how spool isometrics are split have been added to the Automatic Iso Splitting section of the Style Configuration interface.
