Open i-models
The Open i-models
option allows you load i-model information into the Isometrics Manager from
either a
ProjectWise datasource or from a local directory.
Accessed from the main ribbon:
When i-models are loaded into the OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, the model's components are displayed in a component browser specific to the i-model. Component browsers for multiple i-models can be displayed simultaneously in the interface.
i-models can be opened from either a ProjectWise datasource or from a local directory.
Opening from a ProjectWise (PW) datasource
If you are logged into a
ProjectWise datasource when you select the
Open i-models option, the following dialog
displays. It prompts you to select which i-model(s) you wish to copy out and
load into the Isometrics Manager.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Folder | Navigate to the datasource directory where the i-model resides. |
Navigate Back | Returns to the last folder opened. |
Up One Level | Moves up one directory from your current location. |
List | Lists the available documents with no details. |
Details | Lists the available documents with details. |
Thumbnail View | Toggles the display of a thumbnail image which is stored in each i-model file. |
Documents pane | Lists the i-models located in the selected directory. |
Add/Remove | These buttons enable when a document is selected from the Documents pane. Click Add to add an i-model to the Selected Documents pane, or Remove to remove a i-model already listed in the Selected Documents pane. |
Selected Documents | List the i-models selected and ready to be copied down to the Isometrics Manager. |
OK | Click to process the i-models and open in the Isometrics Manager. |
Cancel | Click to close the dialog without making any selections. |
To open the i-model
- Navigate to the directory where they are stored. Once the directory is selected the i-models stored in the directory are listed in the Documents pane.
- Select the i-model(s) to load and click Add to display them in the Selected Documents pane. This pane displays the documents that will be loaded.
- Click OK to begin loading process.
If the Auto Close option is not selected, then the dialog
will remain open and the Show Log button will enable. This allows you view the
i-model Load Log which is created during the loading
process.
Once the process is completed, the i-model component browser
similar to the one shown below is displayed in the interface.
