The Assign Export Information tool is used to apply information to features in an OpenComms spatial persistence project for use in the WorkFlowManager Import/Export functionality (disconnected contractor workflow.)

Using the Assign Export Information Utility

1. From the Utilities ribbon select the Assign Export Information icon.
2. The AssignExportUtil dialog box loads.

   

3. In the Options section of the AssignExportUtil dialog box, select the feature layers you want to export from the project workspace and choose the method with which the new feature attributes will be populated (Fence, Shape or File).
4. In the Export Settings section of the AssignExportUtil dialog box, populate the name of the contracting organization to whom the data is being exported and a brief description of the project being exported.
   Note: The Job Number property is automatically populated with the name of the current oracle workspace, which will reflect the name of the export project defined in WorkFlowManager Owner workflow.
5. Select OK in the AssignExportUtil dialog box to either place a new fenced area, select an existing shape or process all chosen features extracted in the DGN with the new export information properties.

   Note: When populating properties by fence, selecting OK will be followed by a message to place a new fence around the export area.

   When populating properties by shape, selecting OK will be followed by a message to select an existing shape around the export area.

   When populating properties by File, selecting OK will automatically assign the new properties to all chosen features extracted in the DGN.

6. When finished processing, a completion message loads.

   

7. The updated feature information can be reviewed with XFM Analyze from the Bentley Map Command Manager.

   

   Note: The remaining steps of the Import/Export process for spatial persistence are performed from the WorkFlowManager workflow interface.
