Populate Device Info

The Populate Device Info command places or updates fiber device information stamps on the drawing. The Device Info Block cell can be posted on any Fiber device other than sheaths and slacks. Any device selected for the Info Block must be locked (if using Spatial Persistence).

Post Device Information

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Fiber Tab click on the Populate Sheath Info command icon:

  2. The 'Select Device Info Cell' dialog opens (if more than one Device Info block is defined in the Fiber setup).

  3. Select the appropriate Device Info block and click OK.
  4. The user will be prompted to select a Fiber Device to which the Info Block will be associated. This feature must be locked in order to place the block. The Device Info Cell will post displaying the information as defined in the Device Info block that was selected, and the user can place a multisegmented leader line and arrow to identify the device.

Update Single

The information displayed in the Device Info block can be edited by using the Populate > Data command from the Bentley Fiber menu bar and selecting the device, or if the device is a node, editing the internal connections in the Node Connections dialog from the Connections > Manual menu.
