Custom Communications Oracle Packages
The delivered Communications Oracle Packages are installed by clicking the “Install Packages” button found in the Admin dialog. (See dialog on page 4 above.) This is only required once for each database instance used by the OpenComms External Reporter.
This operation will install five different packages used to traverse the OpenComms data model. The packages are:
| CommsCustomerReporting | Contains functions used to extract customer and address information from the database. |
| CommsTraceReporting | Contains functions used to traverse the fiber and coax networks. |
| CommsEngineering | Contains functions that perform calculations for fiber and coax devices. |
| CommsReportingDefinitions | Contains functions that define feature type numbers and feature names. |
| CommsSDOUtils | Contains functions that define a buffer around a Coax Node and all its legs using a trace routine. |
