Input Signal Levels

The Input signal levels command offers the ability to review and edit input signal levels on receivers inside an optical node.

Review/Edit Input Levels Signal on a Single Node

  1. From the Engineering Calcs dialog box, click Single levels.
  2. Select a node on the map.
  3. The Input Levels dialog box opens.

  4. To review signals at different wave lengths, select the wave length from the Wave Length pull-down menu.
  5. Highlight an Internal module in the Input Levels list, edit the levels and click Update to save the checked levels.
  6. Click OK to exit

Global Signal Levels Setup

  1. From the Engineering Calcs dialog box, click Global levels.
  2. The Global Input Levels dialog box opens.

  3. Enter the input (typical), minimum and maximum signal levels at different wave lengths that should be measured on receivers.
  4. Select Empty Only to apply the modification only to nodes with Input, Minimum and Maximum values not already defined, or All to apply the update to all nodes found in the current project.
    Note: If All is selected in a network with already defined values for node receivers, the existing values will be overwritten.
  5. Click OK to proceed with the changes.
