The Change command enables a user to edit a copper device or span model. In the case of copper devices, the Change command can change device types as well as models within a specific feature category.

Change a Copper Device

1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab select the Change command and select a copper device to be changed:

   

2. The Select Equipment dialog box opens.

   

3. If desired, select the new device type. Choose the new device model and click OK.

Change a Copper Span

1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab select the Change command:

   

2. Select a Span on the map to be changed. The Set Symbology -SPANS dialog box opens:

   

3. Choose the new Span model and click OK.

Change Multiple Copper Spans

1. Place a fence around the span segments to be changed.
   Note: A fence is not required if changing a single device.
2. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab select the Change command and select a Span on the map to be changed.
3. The Set Symbology -SPANS dialog box opens.
4. Choose the new Span model and click OK. The ‘Change - Use Fence’ dialog box opens:

   

5. Select the Change Selected Type Only check box to only change spans of the same model as the one selected on the map.
6. Click Yes to proceed.
