The Data command is used to populate information in the “out of the box” OpenComms fiber and copper feature attribute fields.

Add a Name, Description, Owner, or Pole Number to a Particular Device

1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Fiber Tab click on the Populate Data command icon:

   

2. Select a device on the fiber route.
3. A Device Data dialog box opens.

   

4. Key in information such as name, description, owner, and pole number. The information can be posted on the map by selecting one or more of the POST buttons.
5. Place the information being posted on the map near the entity it describes.
6. Click OK when completed.
