The road command easily traces the center line and lanes of the road with both sides of the road drawn simultaneously. An arc or radius is drawn everywhere the road “bends.”

Place a Road

1. Select from the Command Manager <PROJECT NAME >_ROAD(Place).

   

2. Select a Segment Mode.
3. Select Allow Offset and distance to utilize a distance from the road edge.
4. Select the Number of Lanes.
5. In the Width section key in the width or pull down the appropriate measurement for Lanes, Medians, and Right of Way.
6. Enter the name of the Road.
7. Set a data point to start road command and multiple datasets to design the road. Without resetting, you may select another mode to access a turn in the road.
8. Reset to Place the name of the road on the map.
9. Reset to exit the Road command.
