Geometric Properties
Bentley Map automatically creates geometric properties for recognized features. These properties are read-only and include length, perimeter and area. Geometric properties can be used where regular properties are used; in labeling for example. Features from Spatial Data sources have geometric properties calculated by those data sources. The exception is WFS which does not have a mechanism to calculate geometric properties.

Note: Because spatial database geometric properties are calculated by the database, they may differ slightly from those calculated by MicroStation tools.
The display of XFM calculated geometric properties can be disabled by defining the variable:
MS_GEOXFM_DISABLE_GEOMETRIC_PROPERTIES=1
