To Import CSV in Bentley Map
- Open the Interoperability dialog. File > Import > GIS Data types...
- Right-click on the Import node and select New Import.
- On the new Import node created, select ‘Add File...’
- Set the ‘Files of Type’ filter to ‘All files’.
- Select the appropriate .VRT file.
- Right-click on the feature name (town_aus in this case) and select Show Properties > Ungrouped.

Expand the feature node to show the properties.
The dialog should appear as follows.
- In the Interoperability dialog, select Text for Point Type.

In the PBA Expression box type [cityname].
The dialog should appear as follows.
- Make any other symbology changes required.

Right-click on the Import1 node and select Import.
The contents of the CSV file will be imported and placed on the map of Australia.

Use the Analyze tool and select any of the imported text.

It is possible to review the properties for each imported city.
- Save the Import process by right-clicking on the Import1 node and selecting Save As...

Provide a filename (town_aus).
You can now open and run this import process at any time. In addition, you can reference this import process like a regular reference file.
