Map Manager Functionality
Map Manager is used to operate on layers. It handles such functions as toggling the display of layers on and off, reordering layers, re-symbolizing layers as well as executing operations like labeling and searching. Most of the Map Manager functionality is accessed by right-clicking on a layer and using the context menu.
Basic Functions
- Toggle the display of layers, sub-features of the associated feature, thematic classes or display scale ranges by selecting the check box.
- Drag layers up and down to affect display order. Available only if the tree view is sorted in the display order.
- Select multiple layers by using CTRL for discontinuous selections and SHIFT for contiguous selections. The context menu contains less items when multiple layers are selected.
- Drag layers into a layer group by using the CTRL key and dragging layers over the group name.
- Expand a tree node to display sub-features, thematic classes or display scale classes by selecting the +.
Advanced Functions
The following functions are accessed from the Map Manager Context menu. Some functions will operate on more than one feature at a time.
