OpenCities Map supports 3D data creation and editing, which is primarily used for urban modeling purposes. OpenCities Map leverages the 3D solid modeling tools provided by MicroStation while preserving property information in the OpenCities Map XFM format.

OpenCities Map stores 3D polygon features as polygon collections. Tools are provided to convert polygon collections to 3D Smart Solids for editing with MicroStation while still maintaining property data.
