Type

Sets the connection components to rigid or
flexible.

Item
|
As defined by the Type choice, contains all the
rigid or flexible connection instances to use in the hookup.
|
Flex Length
|
Keyed in value represents the maximum length of flex
in the hookup run. Enabled for Flexible type.
|
Connection Angle
|
Sets the elbow angle in the hookup run to one of
the standard angles; 30, 45, 60 or 90.
|
Transition Tolerance
|
Sets a safe offset between connected devices while
they are at distance or in different planes. The transition hooks up the
devices within the specified tolerance. If the distance between the components
in hookup is greater than the allowed distance, the tolerance must be
increased.

Invert Path
|
Turn on to connect to a different side of the
component to connect to. For instance, connect to the bottom instead of the
side.
|
Stretch Ducts/Pipes
|
When on the connected duct or pipe is stretched to
accommodate hookup run rather than adding a new segment.
|
Use Fence
|
When on all existing devices in the fence are
connected to a selected duct or pipe.
|
Fence Mode
|
The option menu sets the Fence (Selection) Mode when
fence is used.
|
Minimum Length
|
For rigid type hookup, sets the minimum length for
the instance of the selected device being hooked up to one of the three
options.
- Default — sets the
value to the default minimum length of the device, as seen in element info.
- From AutoFitting —
sets the minimum length as that of currently defined under the right click
Set as Default AutoFitting option
menu in Parameters properties in the DG Instance.
- Manual — allows
setting the minimum length of the device within the available margin that
overrides the Default or AutoFitting minimum length.

Duct/Pipe Min Length Value
|
Enabled only for manual minimum length value.
When the available distance in the hookup is less
than the allowable length, a prompt is issued to enter a minimum length
offering the best option to complete the hookup.
