The Master Floor File

The Master Floor File (BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib) is used to manage two very important processes.

  1. Create auxiliary coordinate systems (ACS) in a way that is friendly to, and consistent with, the designer's discipline. For example, an architectural designer may generally think in terms of floors, ceilings and cabinet counter heights when designing. Likewise, the floors created by such users can be managed using the same terms and words generally used during the course of daily workflow.
  2. Management of drawing composition settings to facilitate easier and less time-consuming section cuts and model plotting without extensive requisite knowledge of how to operate the drawing composition tools. This essentially helps you create plots without a lot of setup.

These processes take place when you use the Floor Manager tool. You can create and activate floors and floor reference planes (auxiliary coordinate systems) while thinking in familiar terms during workflow.
