OpenBuildings™ Station Designer Help

OpenBuildings Station Designer Resymbolization

Core dynamic view functionality is extended when OpenBuildings Station Designer is running. OpenBuildings Station Designer employs a system of resymbolization rules known as the Family and Part System. This determines the appearance of components like walls, slabs, structural members, duct, and pipe.

Separate symbologies can be defined for the Forward view, Back view, Cut view, and the 3D model.

Forward and Reflected View Hatching

Hatching is added to elements in the forward and reflected views of a drawing. The delivered part mapping file SamplePartMapping.xml, is provided to do this. This file contains listings of parts and families that are hatched in a drawing.

An extracted drawing with (1) – hatching turned off, and (2) – with hatching turned on.

Note: Hatching is not applied to non-faceted surfaces such as non-segmented arc forms, curved forms, or cylinders.
