Viewing Results

When the clash detection job is complete, the results display in the Results tab which automatically opens. The application view window automatically zooms in to display the first clash in the clash list. Additionally, the Message Center displays the total number of clashes found, and the Clash Detection dialog displays the name of the job and the total number of clashes detected.

Select other clashes in the Results tab, to view them in the model. When selected, the application zooms in to display the clash components. You can choose to display one or both clash elements, and they can choose to display them with a gray background color behind them. When displayed, the clash elements are highlighted with the color of their object set.

The status of a clash can also be changed by clicking the applicable Status column cell. Status options display from a drop down list which include New, Old, Assigned, and Accepted.

Element Info

An Element Info pane displays below the clash detection Results list. This pane displays all information about each component in both object sets in the clash. In addition to General information about each clash component, information is also included regarding Geometry, Material, Properties, and Raw Data.



An Element Info(rmation) pane is available from the Clash Detection dialog Results tab. Here General information and information regarding Geometry, Material, Properties, and Raw Data is available for clash components on both object sets.

Save the Job

Save the clash detection job later review. Notice that the name of the job appears in the dialog title bar when the job is saved.

A saved job can also be updated with new results when new components are added to the model. In this case simply run the job again.
