Riser Target Height
|
Sets a benchmark height for calculating the riser
actual height. The value sets the limit for the riser, and along with the tread
depth, these values determine the gate or stride of the stair.
|
Riser Actual Height
|
Displays the actual height of a riser (calculated).
The calculation is dependent on the riser target height and maintains the
target height as closely as possible.
|
Riser Actual Number
|
Displays the total number of risers calculated in
the stair assembly. You can change the number to fit fewer risers to make a
stair more symmetrical, or to change the step heigh for additional comfort. The
change in the riser numbers recalculates riser actual height within the margin
of constraints and recommends the riser number.
|
Riser Recommended Number
|
Displays the ideal numbers of risers for the stair.
This is a calculated value of the stair height based on riser height.
|
Riser Profile
|
Enabled when
Riser Type is set to
Parametric Profile. Sets the riser profile
(*.paz) which is selected from the pull down menu.
Metal_Pan_Riser.paz – Sets the default riser profile.
Note: The
configuration variable
BB_STAIRTREADPROFILE defines the
directory path for the Parametric profile definitions stored as PAZ files.
|
Riser Type
|
Sets the type of risers to use in the stair
construction.
-
<none> – Sets no physical riser
leaving space and view between the treads.
- Straight
Panel – Sets a perpendicular panel filling in the space between two
treads for Slab type treads.
- Slanted
Panel – Sets a sloped panel filling in the space between two treads
for Slab type treads and the tread nosing edge side is top justified. The
nosing distance determines the slope. It is the angle from the tread nose to
the rear edge of the lower tread extended by the nosing distance. The panel
extends underside of the tread slab.
-
Parametric Profile – Enables the Riser Profile property allowing
setting one of the PAZ cell files for riser profile. Sets the cross section
profile of the riser. The profile origin is defined at the tread nose and gets
extruded along the nosing line till the stair edges.
Riser
Profile
Note: The Parametric profile defines
the cross section of the tread, normally used for pan and sanitary pan steel
stairs.
Note: Both 'Slanted Panel' and 'Parametric Profile'
riser types are not applicable to spiral or winder stairs.
|
Riser Thickness
|
Sets the thickness of the slanted or straight panel
type risers, in working units. Disabled for Parametric Profile Riser stair
types.
Riser
Thickness
|
Riser Tread Relationship
|
Sets the position of the riser with tread. Disabled
for Parametric Profile Riser stair types.
Riser above
(left), behind (right) tread
-
Riser Above Tread – the riser stays on
the tread panel.
- Riser
Behind Tread – the riser stands behind of tread.
|
Riser Part Definition
|
Sets the riser family and part definition pair.
Risers
family & parts - example, Part assigns matl_Stair_Riser
Family and
Part assignments can be applied to
straight/slanted panels as well as for planar and parametric profile risers.
The selected
Part option overrides the native definitions
of family part, if any in the profile.
