Type
|
Select the type of support or boundary condition.
- Free — No
restrictions on any direction
- Pinned — X, Y, and
Z are fully restricted, and RX, RY, and RZ are not restricted at all.
- Partial — There is
some combination of restricted and free directions other than that which
qualifies for Free, Pinned, or Fixed.
- Fixed — All
directions are fully restricted.
|
X, Y, Z
|
Set the restrictions for the movement of the node
for translation X, Y, and Z (the node changing coordinates in those
directions).
- None — No
restriction.
- Partial — Partial
restriction. Enter the degree of restriction. A zero degree of partial
restriction is the same as None.
- Kx, Ky & Kz
– Appears when the support Type is set to Free or Partial and the translation
Restraints are set to Partial. The field is provided for specifying a spring
constant.
- Full — Full
restriction.
|
RX, RY, RZ
|
Set the restrictions for the movement of the node
for rotation RX, RY, and RZ (the node rotating in those directions).
- None — No
restriction.
- Partial — Partial
restriction. Enter the degree of restriction. A zero degree of partial
restriction is seen by the software as the same as None.
- Krx, Kry &
Krz – Appears when the support Type is set to Free or Partial and the
translation Restraints are set to Partial. The field is provided for specifying
a spring constant.
- Full — Full
restriction.
