Terms
These Heads Up Display terms and definitions help us further understand the feature:
- Alignment Indicators – These indicators are dashed lines between pointer and element to give visual feedback regarding pointer alignment with the element. For example, dashed lines can indicate that the pointer is at a place that is in line with the projected direction of the element.
- Angle Indicators – These indicators display the angle of a linear element, such as a wall or a beam, relative to zero degrees on the active axis.
- Dimensional Display – Display of a dimension string that can be edited to reposition the selected object.
- Glyphs – Small graphic images that indicate the optional behavior and/or modification is available.
- Pointer Flyover Tips – Tips contain concise information (in a yellow rectangular popup window) regarding the object that is touched by the pointer, and possible options that can be performed.
- Building Component – An application specific element such as an Architectural door or window, or a Mechanical duct or fitting.
- Elements – Primitive elements such as lines, arcs, shapes, text, and dimensions.
