To Perform and AEC Transformation While Attaching an iModel

Open the Attach iModel as Reference dialog (Drawing > Collaborate > Collaboration > Attach iTwin).

The Attach iModel as Reference dialog opens:

Select the download icon corresponding to the iModel you wish to download.

The iModel is downloaded.

Note: The first time you attempt to download an iModel, you will be asked to sign-in to your Bentley IMS account.

Select the attach icon to attach the downloaded iModel.

You will see all the models available in the iModel in a model-tree. You will also see the AEC Transform option enabled in the dialog.

Note: The AEC Transform option is enabled if there is GCS information in both the reference iModel and the active model in the DGN.

Select the model(s) from the model tree.

Select Apply. The model list will be updated to show the status of attached models.

(Optional) You can select models and set their Display, Snap, Locate and Transparency settings in their respective columns.

Select Apply.
