Imported GC Model Node

From GenerativeComponents, a section of model can be imported to another model as a component where the node is exposed through output property.

The Imported GC Node encapsulates a GC model imported from external source. It is useful a in shared environment of team collaboration working on complex model. Such sub model's properties are exposed as inputs and outputs on imported GC model node.

The workflow will have two steps; each performed by different users, and at different locations, connected in the workgroups:
  • Say, User-A needs to set the GC Model Output Property to the external source, and
  • User-B needs to import GC model components using the Imported GC Model Node, in his current model.

The Imported GC Model Nodes are valid in current design only when their input ports are set to the right Design File name in the path of your work area. The Reimport updates the imported design model to the latest change saved in the original source. The Show Graphics toggle turns the geometry of such nodes overlapped on current design.
