Resolving conflicts in the Dataset
In situations where both internal changes to the dataset and external changes to the disk dataset have occurred, a conflict in the dataset ensues. The dataset cannot merge changes. Changes must be accepted to the disk dataset (whereby refreshing the dataset), or the disk dataset must be over written with the dataset.
The Conflict Resolution section appears only when there is a conflict. The highlighted list box item is the file containing the conflict. Select the overwrite option to overwrite the disk dataset, or click OK to replace the dataset with the disk dataset, or click Cancel to dismiss the dialog.
Note: There is a backup system in Family/Part Editor when choosing to overwrite the disk dataset with a dataset. If a backup with the same name has occurred previously, the file name is modified to Copy of to avoid conflicts. If no backups have occurred, then the backup copy is placed in the original dataset directory.
