Define calculation and simulation settings for the project
-
Select the Project object on the Project Tree, and right click.
A pop-up menu appears.
-
Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
The Properties For: Project dialog box opens.
-
Under the Calculation settings heading, change the Room design temperatures property value from Air by selecting Resultant from the available drop-down list.
This will ensure the heat losses will be computed to maintain the specified room design temperature as a Resultant or comfort temperature (defined as 1/2 Air temperature and 1/2 Mean radiant temperature) during heat loss calculations.
- Under the Calculation settings heading, change the Allow room temperatures to rise property value from No to Yes, enabling the Temperature rise property.
- Enter a value of 2° Centigrade as an allowable temperature rise.
- Press the Apply button at the bottom of the dialog box.
-
Under the Simulation settings heading, change the Time Steps Per Hour property value from 6 by selecting 12 from the available drop-down list.
As with the changes made to the calculation settings, the effect is a more detailed simulation. Reducing the maximum number of concurrent simulations ensures the simulations do not consume too much computational power.
-
Press the OK button at the bottom of the dialog box.
This saves the changes and closes the Properties For: Project dialog box.
