Annotation Parameters dialog
A right click in
the interface opens the Annotation Parameters dialog when the
Place
Door ID and
Place
Window ID tools are active.
Annotation parameter settings help you customize door and window
identification numbers, also referred to as door and window ID number bubbles.
An identification number is usually a combination of letters and numbers. For example when referring to the identification number 1-101A, the number 1 identifies the floor of a building, the number 101 identifies the building space containing the door or window, and the letter A identifies the door or window as the first, second, or third door or window within the space. This is by no means the only method to rank order characters for use in identification numbers. This utility provides the flexibility for firms to compose ID numbers in any fashion to meet their needs.
When using this utility in conjunction with the Place Door ID and Place Window ID tools, an ID number bubble is created if an identification symbol does not exist. If an identification symbol does exist, then only the text is updated. Identification number information is entered in the DataGroup System as door and window instance data. If an existing ID bubble is recorded in DataGroup System, the door and window instance data is updated when the ID number bubble is replaced.
